The Travel Academy was initially established in 1998 and is the vision of Mr. Ameen Saduk, the Founder Chairman and Managing Director.
While employed in the Middle East for well over 15 years, Ameen saw the need and requirement for knowledgeable and talented travel professionals and knew that Sri Lankans could fill this vacuum. Upon returning to Sri Lanka, he re–launched The Travel Academy and rekindled his passion and desire to develop Sri Lankans into world class travel professionals.
The curriculum at The Travel Academy have been designed by internationally experienced and practising experts in the travel industry to provide you a flexible, affordable and internationally accredited qualification that will make you ‘World Ready’
Today, we take pride in our achievement of providing a world class training by practicing industry stalwarts, all of whom have had both local and international experience.
We ensure that the quality of education provided is best in class by constantly reviewing and revising the curriculum. A panel of local and internationally acclaimed travel professionals functions as consultants, whose primary objective is to continuously review and advice on the curriculum.
Currently, The Travel Academy operates from a well equipped training centre based in the Negombo town and will soon branch out to other major cities in Sri Lanka. Initially, we are offering training programmed in Airline Reservation, Fares and Ticketing, but will soon be offering courses leading to certificates and diplomas in Airline Cabin Crew Training, Airport Ground handling.
